On the night of July 17, explosions were heard in the Moscow region. According to the portal «Glavkom», unidentified drones were spotted in the area heading towards Moscow.
The sounds of explosions were heard near the villages of Lytkino and Bakeevo in the city of Solnechnogorsk. Local residents in the Zelenograd area also reported explosions and bright flashes. In the village of Alabushево, there were problems with electricity supply.
The Mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, stated that two drones heading towards the capital were shot down. Another drone was destroyed, and emergency services are already working at the crash site.
In connection with this incident, the «Vnukovo» airport in Moscow introduced a «Carpet» mode, leading to a temporary suspension of takeoffs and landings. Some flights were canceled.
Explosions in Belgorod
In the Lipetsk region of the Russian Federation, an attack occurred on the «Energia» factory, which supplies batteries for the Russian army. This is not the first such incident. Explosions and panic were also felt in the city of Belgorod due to drone attacks, confirmed the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov.
The Security Service of Ukraine, along with other military structures, struck an object in Russia that produces surface-to-air missile systems for the Russian army. This operation aims to weaken the potential of Russian air defense.
As a result of the detection of unidentified drones in the Moscow region and attacks on the «Energia» plant in Belgorod, tensions are rising between Ukraine and Russia. Actions taken by the Security Service of Ukraine aimed at weakening Russia's defense potential may lead to further concern in the region.
