President Volodymyr Zelensky held an operational military meeting where the course of hostilities, the situation at the border, and measures to strengthen air defense were discussed. The meeting included Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, Chief of the General Staff Andrii Hnatov, Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal, and the relevant deputy head of the President's Office Pavlo Palisa.
Particular attention was paid to the Dobropillia counteroffensive operation. According to military command, since the beginning of hostilities, 168.8 km² of territory has been liberated there, and another 187.7 km² has been cleared of Russian diversionary groups. The losses of the Russian army within this operation alone reached almost three thousand people, most of whom are irretrievable. The President emphasized:

During the meeting, the situation in Kharkiv and Donetsk regions was also discussed, particularly in the Kupiansk area. Meanwhile, the destruction of a Russian Su-34 in Zaporizhzhia, which previously bombed Ukrainian cities, was confirmed.
Zelensky stressed:
We will continue to justifiably destroy Russian military aviation in response to strikes on our cities, on our people. According to him, they are working with partners to strengthen air defense, and after meetings in New York, the Ministry of Defense and Ukrainian diplomats received appropriate instructions.
Incidents at the Ukrainian-Hungarian border were also discussed. The military recorded incursions of reconnaissance drones into Ukraine's airspace, which likely belong to Hungary. Initially, they may have been monitoring industrial facilities in border areas. Zelensky instructed to verify all data and
report urgently on each recorded fact.
The outcome of the meeting was instructions to the Ministry of Defense and the diplomatic corps regarding the further strengthening of air defense, border control, and support for counteroffensive actions.
