Today, August 19, Russian terrorists continued to attack the peaceful population of Ukraine. In the evening, they shelled Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region. According to information from the State Emergency Service, the shelling hit the rescuers, reports 'Glavkom'.

It is noted that the rescuers were responding to a call to extinguish a fire in the private sector when they were struck by an enemy hit. As a result of the shelling, the vehicle of the State Emergency Service specialists was damaged. Fortunately, according to preliminary data, no one was seriously injured. The State Emergency Service showed a photo of the damaged vehicle.

«Every day our heroes respond to calls under fire. They are on guard of safety even amidst danger. This is yet another example of how cynical the Russians are: those who save become targets. Even in such conditions, the rescuers continue to work», - said the State Emergency Service.

Recall that earlier, due to a Russian attack, a building and firefighting equipment of one of the State Emergency Service units in Kropyvnytskyi were damaged. Also, in the evening of August 6, the enemy attacked the service vehicle of the State Emergency Service, resulting in the death of one rescuer and two civilians.

Ukraine is once again facing acts of aggression from Russian terrorists aimed at terrorizing the peaceful population and rescuers. The attacks provide additional evidence of the ruthless nature of the enemy, but do not break the will and readiness of Ukrainians to defend their country from the aggressor.
