In 2025, 144 drone flights were recorded in the skies over Germany, with 35 near Frankfurt Airport. Such situations pose serious threats to flight safety and create economic difficulties for companies managing airports.
To enhance protection against drones, the German government plans to combine the efforts of the police and the military. Launching drones near airports is considered a criminal offense in the country, punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Meanwhile, companies such as Fraport AG are already taking measures to detect and protect against drones.
After incidents involving Russian drones, the demand for private protective bunkers in Germany is rapidly increasing. This indicates a rise in public outrage and increased public awareness regarding safety in the face of advancing drone technology.
