The influx of tourists in Poland is starting to create problems for cities, particularly for Sopot. The area is facing serious consequences from mass tourism. Among the tourist destinations in Poland, Sopot has become one of the most affected cities.

The problem lies in the large influx of vacationers who actively book accommodations, filling small hotels and apartments almost to full capacity during long weekends and cultural events. Most tourists arrive in Sopot precisely during these periods.

The tourist popularity of Sopot has led to a reduction in the number of residents in the city. Ordinary residents are forced to deal with high housing prices and competition from investors who purchase properties for rent or their own vacations.

According to data from the portal esopot.pl, the demographic future of Sopot may not be very cheerful, with a corresponding decrease in the city's population. This could be a result of excessive tourist activity and the growth of short-term rental housing.

Conclusion

The growing influx of tourists to Sopot leads to serious problems for the local population, which is forced to face changes in the housing market and the demographics of the city due to mass tourism. The trend of decreasing population may have significant consequences for the further development of the resort city.
