New details in the case of the Louvre robbery
New details have emerged in the investigation of the Louvre robbery. Police have arrested five new suspects, raising the number of individuals involved in the case to seven. This was reported by prosecutor Laura Bequau while discussing the progress of the investigation with the media.
According to the prosecutor, the arrests were made on October 29 in various locations. Some of the suspects were in Paris and the Seine-Saint-Denis department. 'One of the five arrested men was one of the targets of the investigation; we had him in our sights. There is DNA evidence that, in our opinion, links him to the committed robbery,' stated Laura Bequau.
Among those arrested are two men in their 30s who 'partially confessed'. After the charges were announced, they were taken into custody. One of the detained suspects is suspected of organizing the robbery and conspiracy.
No information has been provided regarding the second suspect. The prosecutor hopes that the remaining detainees will help uncover all illegal actions of the participants in this criminal case.
During the investigation of the Louvre robbery, new details are helping law enforcement to understand how the crime was committed and provide legal qualification for the case. Currently, an important investigation is ongoing, and there may be additional arrests or the discovery of suspects.
