Tragedy in Perm Krai
In Perm Krai, as a result of an aviation accident, millionaire Ilyas Gimadutdinov and the head of the automobile convoy Elmir Konyakov died. The incident occurred due to engine icing during an unauthorized flight of a Robinson R44 Raven helicopter owned by the company 'TTK'.
Ilyas Gimadutdinov was the founder of the company 'Tattranskom', which was engaged in transportation in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, as well as in Perm Krai. The revenue of 'Tattranskom' for 2024 amounted to almost 2 billion rubles.
Other helicopter incidents in Russia
This crash is not the only tragedy involving helicopters in Russia. In Dagestan, a KA-226 helicopter crashed with seven people on board, resulting in four deaths. On November 30, another incident occurred in the village of Tserpish when a Robinson R44 helicopter crashed, claiming the lives of two brothers. Additionally, in the Ivanovo region of Russia, an An-22 aircraft crashed, which had seven people on board.
These tragedies underscore serious safety issues in the aviation industry in Russia, particularly under adverse weather conditions. Helicopters and other aircraft, especially in small and regional companies, are often operated without proper oversight and adherence to safety regulations. This can lead to further incidents and raise public concern about the safety of air transportation in the country.
