On April 27, 2026, a new electronic system MOS (Moduł Obsługi Spraw) became operational in Poland, through which foreigners, including Ukrainians, can apply for residency. From now on, most documents will only be accepted online. This is reported by InPoland.

MOS service in Poland: how to submit an application online

Through the MOS system, you can apply for:

  • temporary residence permit;

  • permanent residence permit;

  • EU long-term resident status.

Document submission takes place exclusively through the electronic portal. Paper applications will no longer be accepted if they were not submitted to the voivodeship offices by April 27, 2026. In such cases, the date of receipt, not of sending, is considered.

The service interface is available in Polish and Ukrainian, making it easier for foreigners to use.

If you are interested in working in Poland, we offer you to explore 350,000 job vacancies on the Layboard portal.

Who will be allowed to submit documents in paper form

Despite the overall transition to online, for certain categories of applicants, the possibility of submitting paper documents is retained.

This concerns the following cases:

  • intra-company transfer of employees;

  • long-term mobility of managers, specialists, or trainees;

  • family reunification, if the applicant is outside Poland;

  • family members of Polish, EU, or British citizens provided they reside abroad;

  • foreigners who are living in a family relationship with Polish or EU citizens and are outside the country.

The launch of MOS is part of the digitization of public services in Poland and aims to simplify the document processing procedure for foreigners.
