Ukrainians will get a new railway route to Germany without transfers. On June 25, the Czech carrier Leo Express is launching direct service between the Polish city of Przemyśl and Frankfurt am Main. The new route will pass through three countries and will become one of the longest international passenger routes in Europe. This is reported by The Independent.

The Przemyśl – Frankfurt train will run through three countries

The new route will connect Poland, the Czech Republic, and Germany. The total length of the route will exceed 1300 kilometers.

During the journey, the train will stop in several major European cities:

  • Przemyśl;

  • Kraków;

  • Ostrava;

  • Prague;

  • Dresden;

  • Leipzig;

  • Erfurt;

  • Frankfurt am Main.

The first trip will take place on June 25, and thereafter the train will run daily in both directions.

The new route will be beneficial for Ukrainians

Przemyśl has been one of the main transport hubs for Ukrainians traveling to the European Union for several years now.

Thanks to the new route, passengers will be able to reach major cities in the Czech Republic and Germany without transfers. Additionally, the endpoint of the route will be the Frankfurt am Main airport – one of the largest aviation hubs in Europe.

This opens additional opportunities for further international travel and connections with flights around the world.

Leo Express describes the launch of the new route as a strategic step for developing transport connections between Central and Western Europe. The company expects stable demand among both tourists and passengers traveling for business or using Frankfurt as a transit hub.

It is worth recalling that in Poland, 441 foreign doctors lost the right to work.
