The press secretary of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, expressed his position regarding peace negotiations with Ukraine. According to him, Putin is open to resolving the conflict through negotiations and hopes for further cooperation with the US on this issue. However, he acknowledged that pressure on Russia was discussed during President Trump's recent visit to London.

'Putin values positive relations with Trump and the opportunity to openly discuss the most pressing issues. He remains open to reconciling the entire Ukrainian story through dialogue,' Peskov emphasized.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump acknowledged the difficulties of holding a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the Russian leader. Trump noted that he has stopped seven wars, but the peaceful resolution of the conflict turned out to be much more complicated than he expected.

In his statement, Putin continues to prefer diplomatic ways to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of openness to dialogue and constructive relations between countries.
