People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak criticized the organization of meetings of President Volodymyr Zelensky with parliamentary factions and groups, stating that due to changes in schedules, the Verkhovna Rada failed to vote on legislative amendments important for the IMF.

He stated this in a new video on his YouTube channel 'Iron MP.'

What Zheleznyak said about Zelensky's meetings with deputies

According to Zheleznyak, the work of the Verkhovna Rada was moved from 11:00 to 14:00 on Tuesday due to scheduled meetings between the president and representatives of parliamentary factions.

However, on the day of the session, the schedule of meetings was changed again, causing them to overlap with the plenary work of the parliament and the voting on bills necessary for cooperation with the IMF.

The deputy stated that the meetings were 'without agenda' and did not yield concrete results.

'The president did not ask for anything specific. There was no request to support laws or personnel decisions,' Zheleznyak said.

Which factions met with Zelensky

According to the MP, representatives of various deputy groups and factions were invited to the meeting with the president, including:

  • Yuliya Tymoshenko;

  • Dmytro Razumkov;

  • representatives of 'Trust';

  • 'For the Future';

  • 'Voice';

  • deputy groups formed after the ban on OPZZH;

  • Petro Poroshenko.

The head of the 'Servant of the People' faction, Davyd Arakhamia, the Speaker of Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk, and the head of the President's Office Kyrylo Budanov were also present at the meetings.

Why the voting failed in the parliament

Zheleznyak stated that during the plenary session, the parliament was unable to adopt bill No. 12360, which contained amendments concerning international postal shipments and was important for fulfilling agreements with the IMF.

According to him, the Verkhovna Rada rejected the relevant amendments 11 times, and later failed to vote on the bill itself.

'Now we need to look for a new bill or new amendments to the Customs Code,' the deputy stated.

What else Zheleznyak said

The deputy also stated that during the meetings, Zelensky again spoke about his desire to end the active phase of the war by November, but did not explain why he specifies this term.

In addition, the deputy criticized the organization of the government's work and stated there is a 'crisis of state management.'
