The head of the tax committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Danil Getmantsev, categorically rejected the possibility of voting for the disclosure of bank secrecy in the current ninth convocation of parliament. He stated this during his participation in the podcast 'Chronicles of the Economy.'
Getmantsev said that the issue of disclosing bank secrecy would not be considered in the current convocation of the Verkhovna Rada. In response to a question about the possible prospects of addressing this issue, he asserted: 'We will definitely not disclose bank secrecy in this convocation.'
Danil Getmantsev explained that the declaration of the Ministry of Finance, which mentions the possibility of disclosing bank secrecy, covers a three-year period. He expressed hope that the current Verkhovna Rada would not work as long as stipulated.
Getmantsev emphasized that even in 2026, discussing the issue of disclosing bank secrecy would be inappropriate. Earlier, the First Deputy Minister of Finance, Denis Ulyutin, stated that the disclosure of bank secrecy is necessary due to the national income strategy.
