Rebuilding Ukraine: What projects international donors will fund

During the Fifth International Exhibition and Conference 'ReBuild Ukraine: Construction & Energy', the focus was on funding the reconstruction of Ukraine. Participants discussed issues of attracting international donors and private capital, as well as emphasized the importance of an effective public investment management system.



Deputy Minister Maryna Denysiuk highlighted the importance of transparency and effectiveness in public investment management, which meets the needs of Ukrainian society and European standards.


Participants of the meeting also discussed specific projects for the thermal modernization of educational institutions, modernization of water supply and sewage systems, as well as the construction of housing for internally displaced persons.



Support for Communities and Frontline Regions


At a meeting organized by the German Marshall Fund and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, a call was made to direct aid towards collaborative work of experts with communities to develop quality financial models. Special attention was paid to supporting frontline regions through the implementation of targeted financial instruments.



Participants of the event presented public-private partnership projects in the fields of ports, water supply, and the modernization of medical facilities. The importance of developing projects for building transportation infrastructure for full integration of Ukraine into the European market and supporting the security of humanitarian logistics was also noted.



Conference participants emphasized the importance of an appropriate management strategy for the recovery of the country and involving international resources for reconstruction and development goals.
