Service Suspension Hits Reserve+ App
The Reserve+ application has temporarily halted several features that rely on government databases to confirm disability status. According to the Ministry of Defense, this move does not affect deferments already granted. The restrictions target key functions such as submitting new deferment requests based on disability, updating disability information online, and allowing staff at territorial recruitment and social support centers to verify relevant data.
Cyberattack Neutralized
Prior to this, a hacker group that created a counterfeit version of the Reserve+ app was neutralized in Kyiv, Rivne, and Cherkasy. Ukraine’s Security Service reports that over 4,000 users logged into the fake service.
“The temporary restriction does not impact deferments already issued and does not strip citizens of their right to a deferment if they have legal grounds,” the Ministry of Defense stated.
Users can therefore rest assured that their existing deferments remain valid despite these limitations.
The pause of certain Reserve+ services is a direct response to security threats uncovered from fake apps. This step aims to safeguard user data and prevent potential abuse. The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that even with these restrictions, citizens’ entitlements to deferments remain unchanged—a critical reassurance given the current socio-economic climate in the country.
