Tragedy Strikes Kolky Village

In a devastating incident in Kolky village, Rivne region, the body of a three-year-old boy was recovered from a body of water. The discovery came on April 5th, following a large-scale search operation launched after two young boys, left unsupervised near the water, were reported missing. The search was for brothers born in 2021 and 2023. This heartbreaking event underscores the ever-present dangers that water poses to young children, particularly in rural communities.

During a sweep of the river's area on April 5th, the body of the younger boy, born in 2023, was located and brought to the surface. The continuous search for his older brother, born in 2021, remains underway.

The community was shaken by the event: two young children, left without adult supervision, ended up near the water. Immediately after receiving the report of their disappearance, a large-scale search operation was deployed.
