For people who do not use cashless payment methods, an alternative has been provided. They will be able to purchase a one-time paper ticket with cash at self-service terminals.
Currently, there are already 160 such terminals operating in the city. Soon, another ten machines will be installed near markets, bus stations, and in the village of Kvasyliv.
The city council emphasizes that the paper ticket must be validated during the trip, otherwise it will not be considered properly used.
Concessions for rides in Rivne: who needs to obtain a transport card
Changes will also affect passengers who are entitled to free rides. Residents of the Rivne community who have benefits must obtain a personalized transport card. According to the city council, around 48 thousand people have already received it.
At the same time, for certain categories of passengers, the rules will remain unchanged. This applies to beneficiaries from other communities who receive benefits due to martial law, as well as orphans and children with disabilities. They will still be able to confirm their right to free rides with paper certificates.
Rivne has become one of the Ukrainian cities that are completing the transition to a fully cashless payment system for rides. This format is expected to simplify passenger accounting, speed up boarding, and make the transport system more transparent.
