Starting from August 7, Rivne will change the fares for public transport. The cheapest trip will cost when using a transport card, while the most expensive will be a single ticket. The increase will affect trolleybuses, buses, and marshrutkas. This was reported by the executive committee of the Rivne City Council.
Fare for trolleybuses in Rivne from August 7
In trolleybuses, the fare will depend on the payment method. Currently, passengers pay between 12 to 14 hryvnias, and after the fare changes, it will be from 16 to 18 hryvnias.

16 hryvnias – using the transport card “Rivne”;

17 hryvnias – using a bank card or phone;

18 hryvnias – a single ticket from a self-service terminal.
The fine for traveling without a ticket in a trolleybus has been set at 300 hryvnias.
Travel in marshrutkas and buses in Rivne will increase to 26 hryvnias
In buses and marshrutkas, the ticket price will rise from 18 hryvnias to 22-26 hryvnias. The difference between payment with a transport card and a single ticket will be four hryvnias.

A fine of 460 hryvnias will be imposed for not having a validated ticket or failing to pay for the trip in buses and marshrutkas.
New tariffs in Rivne linked to fleet updates
Deputy Mayor Yevheniy Ivanyshyn explained that transporters requested a fare close to 32 hryvnias. The city council, however, agreed to lower tariffs while requiring updates to the vehicle fleet.
According to him, more than 12 new vehicles have been introduced on Rivne's routes since early 2026, and the city expects another 16 starting in September.
He added that the fare increase should be accompanied by better transport service quality. The executive committee unanimously supported both decisions.
Since August 1, cashless payments have been implemented in Rivne's public transport. Payments can be made using a bank or transport card, as well as a paper QR ticket.
