The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense reported that the threat to Ukraine from any grouping in Belarus remains low. This was stated by the Deputy Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Vadym Skibitsky, in an interview with Ukrinform.
'Currently, the threat from groupings in Belarus remains at a low level,' - he emphasized.
Military Exercises on the Territory of Belarus
According to Skibitsky, Ukraine understands the goals and plans of the military exercises on the territory of Belarus. 'We clearly understand the goals, plans, and areas that will be studied during all the exercises currently taking place in Belarus. This includes the CSTO exercises, the active phase of the 'West 2025' exercises,' - he explained.
One of the main objectives of the exercises is to work out elements of checking the newly created staffs of the Moscow and Leningrad military districts. However, according to intelligence assessments, these exercises will not be as extensive as before.
According to information from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, the threat to Ukraine from groupings in Belarus remains at a low level. Exercises on the territory of Belarus are also viewed by Ukrainian military with an understanding of their goals and scope, and although the scale is no longer as large, interest remains.
