The Bloomberg agency, analyzing the health of U.S. citizens, concluded that the nation today does not exhibit robust health, and obesity, which was considered a rarity in the country 60 years ago, has now affected about half of the population, writes 'Glavcom'.

According to Bloomberg, Americans have lost their former health, and obesity, which was once rare, is now a problem for half of the U.S. population. Over the past half-century, the incidence of diabetes, asthma, and other obesity-related diseases has increased.

An alarming report on children's health, published to reduce obesity levels, highlighted the harm of fast food and highly processed products that are often considered 'unhealthy food'. Studies suggest that unbalanced nutrition contributes to the spread of obesity and chronic diseases.

An international group of scientists warns about the dangers of the growing level of obesity among the population, which could lead to an increased risk of diseases and mortality by 2050.

Ukrainian experts also confirm that healthy eating is important for maintaining overall health, especially in the context of the growing level of obesity both globally and in Ukraine. The problem of obesity is becoming not only an individual issue but also a global threat to public health.
