Ukrainian halva from Kropyvnytskyi is sold in Sweden with packaging in Russian. Olha Serzhanova, a Kropyvnytskyi native living abroad, points out that the packaging of the product contains information in Russian, but there is no Ukrainian. The company 'Tri Star', which produces halva, explains that labeling in Russian is used only for products exported outside of Ukraine.

According to the general director of the company, they have no commercial ties with Russia and do not supply products to that country. However, the absence of the Ukrainian language on the product packaging may provoke negative reactions among Europeans who buy Ukrainian goods. Nevertheless, the manufacturer did not provide a specific answer regarding the lack of Ukrainian labeling.

The Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language notes that since the beginning of the year, more than a thousand appeals have been received regarding violations of language legislation, five of which are from Kropyvnytskyi. He emphasizes the importance of adhering to language rules both in stores and in official documents.

Addition: Ukrainian halva in Sweden is being criticized for the use of the Russian language on the packaging, which may affect the perception of the product among European consumers. The issue of labeling Ukrainian goods abroad is becoming important for compliance with language standards and avoiding negative consequences for exporters.
