President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the combined Russian strike on Ukraine. According to the president, the occupiers launched more than 470 strike drones and 48 missiles of various types. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the head of state.
Elimination of the consequences of the attack
In many regions, the elimination of the consequences of the Russian attack is ongoing. In Ternopil, there were hits on residential nine-story buildings, and nine people are known to have died. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko reported that currently, 22 injured individuals are known.
'Unfortunately, there is significant destruction of houses, and there may be people under the rubble. All necessary services are working on site, trying to save every life. As of now, tens of those affected are known, and unfortunately, nine people have died,' the president said.
Call to strengthen defense
According to the head of state, each such shelling indicates that pressure on Russia is insufficient. 'The primary need is missiles for air defense, additional systems, increasing the capabilities of our combat aviation, and the production of drones to protect lives. Russia must be held accountable for its actions, and we must focus on everything that strengthens us and enables us to shoot down Russian missiles, neutralize Russian drones, and stop assaults,' he added.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced numerous strikes from Russian troops, resulting in dozens of casualties and significant destruction. The head of state called for strengthening defense and focusing on protecting the lives of Ukrainian citizens.
