Ternopil: 26 dead and 20 missing after Russian strike – rescuers are working continuously

Search and rescue operations continue in Ternopil following an incident caused by a Russian strike. Rescuers are tirelessly working to remove collapsed structures, clear debris, and search for victims who may be trapped under the rubble.



Over the course of two days, 880 square meters of collapsed structures have been cleared and 370 tons of construction debris have been removed. At the scene, there are 68 rescuers and 16 units of equipment working; in total, 194 rescuers and 53 units of equipment are involved in the aftermath response.



In the numbers of tragedy


Currently, 26 civilian deaths are confirmed, including 3 children, as well as 93 injured individuals, including 18 children. So far, 46 people have been rescued, including 7 children. Approximately 20 people are still considered missing.


Rescue operations are ongoing, and the participants are not planning to cease their search for injured or missing persons until everyone possible has been rescued.



Rescuers in Ternopil are not stopping their search and rescue operations after the incident caused by the war. Their efforts continue, and the number of casualties is rising. Rescuers are putting in every effort to find and save everyone trapped under the rubble.
