In the Turkish province of Kocaeli, near the city of Izmit, a crashed reconnaissance drone of Russian manufacture was found. According to Haber7, the device belongs to the 'Orlan' series and has the emblems of the Russian army.

It remains unclear how the drone ended up in this area and what caused its fall. Law enforcement and authorities have launched an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the event. Experts are examining the wreckage of the device to establish its route and purpose in Turkey.

Earlier, Turkish military downed a drone near the Black Sea that was approaching their airspace.

No official comments have yet been received from Russia regarding this incident. It is also worth noting that the Turkish industry is successfully developing drone technologies: Bayraktar Kızilelma destroyed a target beyond visual range and Skydagger successfully tested kamikaze drones.

The found Russian drone in Turkey raises interest and suspicion regarding potential repercussions for bilateral relations between the countries.
