Two young individuals, a 21-year-old Ukrainian and a 17-year-old Belarusian citizen, were detained after they launched a drone over government buildings on Park Street and over the Belweder Palace in Warsaw. This information was reported by Polish media such as TVP Info and Polsat News.

Deputy Minister of the Interior Maciej Duszczyk reported that the drone operators were detained around 19:00 on September 15. The police found that the drone did not pose a threat, but operating it in a prohibited area was illegal.

“The drone flew over areas where it was not allowed to fly. It was neutralized. The people operating the drone were also detained... These individuals were interrogated overnight. We will see what the results of these procedures will be. For me, the very good news is that it worked very quickly: the drone appeared, and within a very short time it was neutralized, and the people were detained,” said Duszczyk.

The spokesman for the Minister-Coordinator of Special Services in Poland, Jacek Dobrzinski, noted that this incident is not part of a large-scale espionage operation, but is likely provoked by the improper actions of young people. An investigation is ongoing regarding the violation of legislation on flights in prohibited areas.

The Ukrainian and the Belarusian launched a drone over the palace in Warsaw, but their actions led to their detention by the police and an investigation into this case. The event is not considered a spy operation but has taken on a criminal nature due to the violation of legislation on flights in prohibited areas.
