Free transport in Vasilykiv: which routes are already operational
The first route number 3 was launched in the city. It connects the Pisky area (Gymnasium No. 4) with the stop 'Intermediate', allowing residents to travel for free to work, school, and other places.
The main feature of the innovation is completely free travel for all categories of passengers without exception. The city hall expects that this will increase the accessibility of transport, especially for socially vulnerable groups of the population.

Buses in Vasilykiv: characteristics and driver issues
Low-floor buses of high capacity Irisbus Citelis 12, which were previously used in the French region of Île-de-France, are operating on the routes.
The transport is 12 meters long and is equipped with a foldable ramp near the middle doors for people with disabilities and parents with strollers. The cabin is equipped with air conditioning and information displays.
Main characteristics of the buses:
capacity of up to 90-100 passengers
25-33 seats
diesel or gas engines with a power of 290 hp
At the same time, the city recognizes the problem of a shortage of drivers. The city hall calls on everyone interested to join the transport sector.
Vasilykiv has become another Ukrainian city where public transport has been made free, joining the practice that is already being implemented in other regions.
Let us remind you that the first batch of buses from France was handed over to the communities of the Kyiv region to strengthen local transport and support the population.
