Weather deterioration in Ukraine at the beginning of autumn

In the second half of September, a gradual decrease in temperature is expected in Ukraine, starting from the northeastern regions. This was reported by the forecaster of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Ivan Semilit. According to his forecast, by the middle of the month the country will remain under the influence of the anticyclone, ensuring relatively warm and stable weather.

'Until September 12-13, we will still be in anticyclonic mode. And already in the second half of the month, we can expect a gradual, not sharp, but indeed gradual decrease in temperature. Initially, this will be noticeable in the northeastern regions, and then the process will progress diagonally across the country,' he noted.

Impact of precipitation on weather

Regarding precipitation, the forecaster emphasized that autumn is always a transitional season when the weather can change rapidly. 'The atmosphere does not stand still but is constantly changing. So we may receive both cool air masses from the Atlantic, bringing coolness and moisture, and warmer air flows from southern latitudes, which will provide higher temperatures,' Semilit explained.

Previously, the climatologist advised Ukrainians to forget about harsh winters.
