New EU Sanctions Against Russia
The European Union has imposed new sanctions against five citizens of the Russian Federation linked to the Russian defense industry. This decision was a response to a recent series of Russian airstrikes. The new sanctions were announced by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, who emphasized that the EU must increase pressure on Russia until Moscow ends the war.
The list of individuals subject to sanctions includes:
- Ramil Badgutdinov, CEO of the Serpukhov Metallist plant;
- Alexander Djukarev, CEO of the Krasnoyarsk Machine-Building Plant;
- Sergey Bashkov, Director of Irz-Svyaz LLC;
- Sergey Bessonov, CEO of Aeromax LLC;
- Victor Ivanov, CEO of the Scientific Research Institute of Precision Instruments.
"In response to the recent series of Russian airstrikes, the EU today approved new sanctions lists, which include five individuals connected to the Russian military-industrial complex. As its army remains stuck on the battlefield, Moscow is further intensifying its campaign of terror against the civilian population. UK Sanctions
Alongside this, the UK government has also introduced a new package of sanctions against Russia. The British sanctions list includes six banks, six ships, companies, and one individual, totaling 19 new entries. Among the sanctioned banks are Ozon Bank, Center-Invest, Realist Bank, and Staver Bank. These sanctions were reported by the Center for Counteracting Disinformation.
