On May 31, public transport operations will be strengthened in Vinnytsia to provide convenient access to the city cemetery on Olha Kobylianska Street. Additional buses and trams will be launched for passengers, and traffic of private vehicles will be temporarily restricted on certain streets. This was reported by the Vinnytsia City Council.
Additional buses to the cemetery will run from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
The city will engage nine municipal buses for passenger transportation.
They will run from the stop 'Pirogov Hospital' to the stop 'Dniprovska Street' with all the designated stops along the route.
The additional transport will operate from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM to ensure a comfortable journey for everyone wishing to visit the cemetery.
Vinnytsia will increase the number of trams and buses
In addition to special routes to the cemetery, additional rolling stock will be deployed on the routes.
For passenger transportation the following will operate:
- One additional bus on the route 'Yakov Shepel Street – Pirogov Hospital'
- Two additional trams No. 1 'Electromesh – Railway Station'
- Two additional trams No. 5 'Electromesh – Barske Shosse'
- Two additional trams No. 6 'Vyshenka – Railway Station'
The city council notes that these measures will help to avoid transport overload and reduce waiting times for passengers.
Traffic of vehicles will be temporarily restricted near the cemetery
To ensure the smooth operation of public transport, temporary restrictions for private vehicles will be introduced from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Traffic will be restricted on part of Ivan Bohun Street – from the intersection with Rudansky Street to the intersection with Olha Kobylianska Street.
Drivers are advised to plan their route in advance and use alternative detours.
At the same time, public transport will continue to operate without changes and will have priority access to the specified sections of the road.
