Additional low-floor Solaris Urbino buses equipped with gas engines have started operating in Vinnytsia. This concerns three new vehicles that are already on city routes and are expected to enhance public transport efficiency. The mayor of Vinnytsia, Serhiy Morhunov, reported.

Gas low-floor Solaris Urbino buses have reached main routes

Two buses have been directed to the most loaded city directions:

  • route No.19 «Vysnytsia – Vinnytsky Khutory»;

  • route No.21 «Barske shose – Pedkolledzh».

Another bus is in reserve and can be used to reinforce any route if needed.

According to the mayor, the city's vehicle fleet will be replenished shortly with four more buses. This includes:

  • two Solaris Urbino;

  • two Mercedes-Benz Citaro, recently donated to the city by German Karlsruhe as a sister city.

It is expected that the involvement of additional transport will help relieve popular routes and reduce passenger waiting times at stops.

As a reminder, in December, an 18-year-old student died under the wheels of a train in Vinnytsia.
