In Vinnytsia, the work of public transport has been strengthened on several routes to reduce travel intervals and increase passenger comfort. In particular, two Mercedes Citaro buses, provided by the twin city Karlsruhe, have been added to route No. 21 'Pedcollege - Baryske highway'. This was reported by the Vinnytsia City Council writes.
The strengthening of the routes was announced by the Mayor of Vinnytsia, Serhiy Morgunov. According to him, two gas buses Solaris, purchased last year, have also been added to routes No. 5 and No. 11. The goal of these changes is to stabilize transportation on the most congested routes and ensure transport accessibility for all categories of passengers.
Mercedes Citaro Buses in Vinnytsia
Mercedes-Benz Citaro buses, which are already running on route No. 21, were received from Karlsruhe in December 2025. These are 2015 models that meet the Euro-6 environmental standard and are equipped with the AdBlue system to reduce harmful emissions. In the event of possible power supply interruptions, these buses can operate independently, ensuring uninterrupted transportation.
Strengthening Urban Routes in Vinnytsia
The interior of the Mercedes Citaro is low-floor and equipped with a retractable ramp. The transport has spaces for passengers in wheelchairs and with strollers, air conditioning and video surveillance. The bus has a capacity of 38 seated and 59 standing passengers. Before going on the route, the vehicle was registered, underwent technical inspection, service works, and validators were installed. The preparation was carried out by specialists of the Vinnytsia Transport Company together with the Vinnytsia Information Center.
The city council emphasizes that in conditions of energy instability, bus transportation plays a key role in ensuring the mobility of residents and the stable operation of the transport system.
It is worth reminding that one-way traffic has been introduced in Vinnytsia on two streets of the city.
