On Saturday, July 12, a taxi driver ran over a female pedestrian in Vinnytsia. The injured girl was taken to the hospital. This is reported by 'Glavkom' referring to the police of the Vinnytsia region.
The driver of the Renault vehicle, a 32-year-old man, hit a 22-year-old girl who was crossing the road at an unregulated crosswalk. Law enforcement noticed signs of drug intoxication in the driver.
The driver was detained and is currently in a temporary detention facility until a suspicion is announced and a preventive measure is introduced. The injured girl is in the hospital.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident. The article under which punishment may be provided is part 2 of article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - from three to eight years of imprisonment.
