In Zaporizhzhia, on June 9 and 10, traffic restrictions will be temporarily imposed due to DniproHES. For two days, one of the city’s key transport hubs will be completely closed for several hours, affecting both private and public transport. This is reported by the Zaporizhzhia City Council.
Traffic Closure Due to DniproHES
According to the city’s transport and communications department, on June 9 and 10, from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM, traffic will be fully closed on the bridge over the forebay and the widening road crossing through the hydraulic structures of the Dnipro HES.
The restrictions will be in place for five hours each day. Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance and consider possible delays when moving around the city.
Public Transport Will Change Routes
The city council noted that public transport during the closure will operate on detour routes.
Bus and other passenger transport routes will be organized according to the established road signs and temporary traffic patterns.
DniproHES remains one of the most important transport crossings between the right and left banks of Zaporizhzhia, so even short-term restrictions can affect the traffic situation in various parts of the city.
