In Zaporizhzhia, on June 5, the operation of several trolleybus routes will be temporarily changed due to road surface repairs on Sobornyi Avenue. For several hours, the movement of trolleybuses in one of the city's key transport sections will be restricted, and passengers will have to use updated route diagrams. This was reported by the Zaporizhzhia City Council.
The repair of Sobornyi Avenue will affect trolleybus movement
According to the city authorities, the restrictions will be in effect on June 5 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. During this time, the utility enterprise «ELUASH» will carry out medium repairs of the road surface on the section of Sobornyi Avenue from Vernadskyi Square to Ukrainian Street.
To carry out the work on the specified section, the contact network will be temporarily de-energized. As a result, the movement of trolleybus routes No. 3, No. 8, and No. 14 will be suspended in their usual mode.
Which routes will operate with a changed scheme
Trolleybus route No. 3 during the repair period will operate in two directions:

«Zaporizhzhia Square – Sedova Street»;

«4th Southern Microdistrict – Zaporizhzhia-II Station».
For route No. 8, a temporary movement scheme will also be introduced:

«Simferopol Highway – Zaporizhzhia-II Station».
Route No. 14 will be partially served by autonomous trolleybuses
Special changes apply to route No. 14. Some trips will be operated by trolleybuses with autonomous travel on the route «Simferopol Highway – Embankment».
Other vehicles will operate on the routes «Embankment – Sedova Street» and «Simferopol Highway – Zaporizhzhia-II Station». At the same time, the entry onto Chumachenka Street will be temporarily suspended.
After the repair work is completed and the contact network is re-energized, the movement of trolleybuses is planned to return to the usual routes.
