In Zaporizhzhia, DniproHES is closed again: public transport schedules have changed

On October 17, in Zaporizhzhia, the traffic across the DniproHES dam was closed again, so public transport is operating on a modified schedule today. This was reported on the city council's website. 

Change in trolleybus routes in Zaporizhzhia on October 17, 2025

Trolleybuses No. 1 and No. 11 will temporarily not be operating. Instead, routes No. 3, 8, 9, 14 and 17 continue to operate, but with adjustments. From 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, traffic will be partially restricted due to the repair of the contact network on Sobornyi Avenue - from Dontsov Street to Ukrainian Street.

Here is how the movement of electric transport has changed:

  • No. 3: one trolleybus with autonomous drive will operate from the 4th Southern microdistrict to Zaporizhzhia Square, the rest will go to Zaporizhzhia-II station and Sedov Street.

  • No. 8: autonomous trolleybus - on the route "Simferopol Highway - Zaporizhzhia Square", others - to Zaporizhzhia-II station.

  • No. 14: transport with autonomous drive - to the Embankment, others - to the station and Sedov Street.

Trams No. 3, 10, 12, 14, 15 and 16 are operating as usual - on their regular routes.

Among the buses in the city, No. 7, 29, 34a, 38, 39, 56, 59, 71, 86, 94, 97 and 98 are running. Route No. 71 temporarily operates from Zaporizhzhia Square to the "Epicenter" shopping center via Sobornyi Avenue, Serikova Street and Kosmicna.
Also, routes No. 17, 18 and 72 (from Borodynskyi and Osypenkyi microdistricts) temporarily go through Winter Boulevard, the Arch Bridge and Khortytsia Island, without entering Kyashka Street.

Additionally, routes "Pishchana Street - Metallurgiv Avenue" and "Zaporizhkabel Factory - Metallurgiv Avenue" have been organized, which run through the Arch Bridge and Khortytsia.

Restrictions on traffic due to DniproHES have affected the transport situation in the city before. The last closure occurred at the beginning of October due to repair work that required a complete traffic stoppage.

Earlier, we reported that in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the occupying authorities plan to equip all public transport with surveillance cameras. This applies not only to Crimea but also to the occupied areas of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhia regions.
