New 'Contracts' Feature Launches in Army+ App
A new service called 'Contracts' is now available in the Services section of the Army+ app, enabling personnel from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service to submit requests for signing new contracts. This initiative aims to streamline contract processing and make it more accessible for military members.
Contract Types and How to Submit a Request
The new feature offers three contract types: Infantry-Assault, Combat, and Basic. To submit a request, service members need to navigate to the Services section and select the Contracts option. When applying for the Infantry-Assault contract, they must provide:
- contract type;
- military unit number;
- desired position;
- military rank;
- current position;
- contact phone number.
Notably, the commander's Army ID is not required for this contract type.
Requests for the Infantry-Assault contract are sent directly to the chosen military unit, and their status can be tracked in the Reports section. If the selected unit does not participate in the Infantry-Assault contract program, the app will notify the user. For Combat and Basic contracts, service members must enter their immediate commander's nine-digit Army ID. These requests are forwarded to the Personnel Service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, after which specialists from that service will contact the service member.
Per Ministry of Defense Order No. 531, the review period for a request cannot exceed 14 days. For consultations, the Ministry of Defense has launched a hotline at 1519, providing additional support for service members during the contract process. In essence, the new Contracts service in the Army+ app is designed to simplify and speed up the process of signing new contracts for military personnel.
This service rollout marks a significant step in improving administrative procedures within the Armed Forces of Ukraine. By easing the mechanism for submitting contract requests, the Ministry of Defense aims to equip service members with convenient tools to exercise their rights and opportunities. This could positively impact troop morale, as reducing bureaucratic hurdles may encourage greater interest in service and contract renewals.
In addition to the new Contracts feature, it's essential for service members to be aware of the recently clarified terms of the updated 24-month military contract. This information can provide further context for those considering their options within the military framework.
