In Zhytomyr, trams and trolleybuses will not operate on November 3, as the city faces a suspension of electric transport again. From 10:00, municipal buses will operate on a changed schedule, and route No. 23 will be temporarily canceled. The Zhytomyr City Council reports this in a statement.

Transport in Zhytomyr: which buses will replace trolleybuses on November 3

Municipal buses No. 2 and No. 3 will operate in the directions of the corresponding trolleybus routes. The following scheme has been introduced for passengers:

  • bus No. 2 will follow the route of trolleybus No. 2;
  • bus No. 3 will follow the route of trolleybus No. 3;
  • bus No. 23 will not operate temporarily;
  • bus No. 23A will provide a connection between Sloboda and Universitetska Street via Selets.

Other city bus routes will operate unchanged. The time of resumption of tram and trolleybus services is not mentioned in the city council's announcement.

Disruptions in transportation are also occurring in other cities. In particular, on November 2, due to voltage fluctuations and air alerts, changes in metro operations were implemented in Kyiv.

Route No. 23A in Zhytomyr: what streets it will traverse on November 3

Bus No. 23A will travel in the direction of: Sloboda → Selets → Ivan Honta Street → Velyka Berdychiivska Street → Shevchenka Street → Universitetska Street. In the opposite direction, it will travel the same route.

Passengers of the usual route No. 23 should check if the temporary scheme No. 23A is suitable for them. The announcement does not provide information on the frequency of service or the number of buses, so it is impossible to calculate the exact waiting time based on this announcement.

The changes concern transportation schemes; the city council has not announced any new tariffs. Meanwhile, in other cities of the region, fare reviews have been conducted: the fare in Malyn has increased to 25 UAH since October 21.
