In Zhytomyr, the operation of three trolleybus routes has been extended so that passengers of evening trains can get from the station to various districts of the city. The last change was an additional route No. 1-B after the arrival of the train from Kyiv at 21:34. This is reported by Suspilne Zhytomyr.
How trolleybus No. 1-B will operate in Zhytomyr from July 22
An additional route was introduced after residents of the Smolianka microdistrict made a request. The trolleybus, which previously went to the depot in the evening, will now wait for passengers at the train station.
On weekdays, route No. 1-B will depart from the station at 21:52, and on weekends at 21:54. It will run on a shortened route without entering Tsiolkovskyi and Kosmonavtiv streets.
The evening route will travel along Vitruka Street to Smolianka, and then along Velyka Berdychivska to the regional hospital. The trolleybus will arrive at the final stop at 22:18.
In the opposite direction, the transport will pass along Velyka Berdychivska through Smolianka, where it will be around 22:30. At 22:38, the trolleybus will enter the depot in the area of Koroleva Street.
When do evening trolleybuses No. 3 and No. 4 depart?
The operation of route No. 3 was extended on July 1 after the train schedule for Kyiv – Zhytomyr changed. It departs from the railway station at 21:41 on weekdays and at 21:43 on weekends, after which it follows the usual route to the stop "Yalynka".
Trolleybus No. 4 departs from the station at 21:45 on both weekdays and weekends. Thus, after the train arrives, passengers have several routes for transferring to public transport.
The evening departures from the station operate according to the following schedule:

No. 3: at 21:41 on weekdays and at 21:43 on weekends;

No. 4: daily at 21:45;

No. 1-B: at 21:52 on weekdays and at 21:54 on weekends.
The schedules for routes No. 1-B, No. 3, No. 4, and No. 15 have also been coordinated with the arrival of a diesel train from Korosten. It arrives in Zhytomyr at 20:56, after which trolleybuses wait for passengers near the station.
The changes allow residents of Smolianka and other districts to use public transport after late trains without looking for alternative ways to get home.
Let us remind you that Zhytomyr may receive a significant amount of energy from waste, as the owner of the waste processing plant in the city, Yevhen Barak, reported that his enterprise produces fuel capable of providing heating for at least 30% of the city's residents.
