On December 20 in Zhytomyr, an interesting swimming relay took place where athletes drank beer during the competition. About 20 participants took part in these intriguing competitions, which have been held in the city for the eighth year in a row. As part of the 55th swimming tournament in the 'masters' category, this relay was organized in honor of the honored coach of Ukraine, Konstantin Shcheglov.
24 athletes from different cities in Ukraine participated in the beer swimming competitions. Participants swam 25 meters forward, drank a glass of beer, and then swam the same distance back. The first place in these interesting competitions was won by a team from Zhytomyr, the second place was taken by a combined team from the Kyiv region, and the third - from Kyiv.

It is also worth noting the achievement of 16-year-old Karina Kozlova, who became the first Ukrainian skier to earn points for the national team at the World Cup stage in Austria. This was her debut at the adult level of the World Cup competitions.
