An accident occurred at the Jmerinka station: one car of the electric train and a section of the electric locomotive derailed while heading towards another train. A commission is currently working at the accident site to investigate the causes of the accident. So far, there are no reports of injuries, which is considered a very positive fact as a result.
Meanwhile, Ukrzaliznytsia has decided to address the difficulties in purchasing tickets for popular routes. They have introduced a new rule for some trains: now tickets can only be purchased through the Diya.Pidpis service. This solution has already caused outrage among members of parliament, who are calling to remove the restrictions and allow tickets to be purchased in the usual way.
As a result of the accident at the Jmerinka station and the outrage among members of parliament, changes may occur both in the operations of Ukrzaliznytsia and in the rules for purchasing tickets for trains.
