Volunteers from 72 countries have joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces, particularly many representatives from South America. About 600 new servicemen are recruited daily, with the total number of foreign volunteers in the Ground Forces exceeding eight thousand.
“We can say that the percentage of other nationals in the Armed Forces of Ukraine has increased. This is influenced by the fact that a full-fledged Center for Recruiting Foreigners has already begun operations,” said Melevsky.
Incentives for foreign volunteers include not only a high salary in the Ukrainian Armed Forces but also the opportunity to improve their military experience and participate in restoring peace. Additionally, separate units are being formed from participants from Colombia who have joined the Ukrainian forces.
As a result, the service of foreign volunteers in Ukraine has become increasingly popular, leading to an increase in the number of foreigners wishing to join the defense of the country and receive a proper level of salary.
