Повітряна загроза над Харківщиною: ситуація та можливі наслідки.

The occupiers are conducting a blockade of hostilities in the northern Kharkiv region

According to the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the occupiers are carrying out an air blockade campaign of hostilities in the northern Kharkiv region. This is likely done to disrupt Ukrainian logistics to facilitate their goals on the battlefield.

The Kharkiv region’s Recovery and Infrastructure Development Service reported that on December 7, Russian troops attacked a city near Staryi Saltiv and the dam of the Pechenizske reservoir. This led to the prohibition of movement and the closure of the Kharkiv-Vovchansk-Chuhunivka highway.

Reaction to aggression

The head of the Pechenizka community, Oleksandr Husarov, stated that the Russian military's missile strikes could threaten Ukrainian logistics in the northern region. However, the Ukrainian forces are ready for such provocations, thus the threat of successful attacks on Ukrainian logistics is limited.

There is a real threat to our security, but we are ready to defend our territory - Oleksandr Husarov

Recently, on December 6, the actions of the Russian military led to the suspension of movement over the dam of the Pechenizske reservoir. Temporary restrictions on local roads in Kharkiv region also occurred due to these events. A detour scheme has been published.
