As a result of the night attack in Khmelnytskyi, public transport will operate with deviations in schedules. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the Khmelnytskyi city council.
The head of the Khmelnytskyi OVA, Serhiy Tyurin, stated that the region was attacked by missiles and drones twice - at night and in the morning. Air defense forces were deployed. There is currently no information on casualties, but there are several damages.
Damages and Consequences of the Attack
- over 50 windows were shattered and damaged in an educational institution which will operate today in a remote format;
- over 100 windows of residential buildings were damaged;
- the communal infrastructure and two trolleybuses were damaged;
- non-residential premises, private garages, and cars were damaged;
- there were problems with electricity supply in the village community, which energy workers plan to resolve within three hours;
- public transport (trolleybuses) are gradually returning to routes and operating at full capacity, but with delays.
Currently, the consequences of the attack are being assessed. It is also worth noting that on the night of September 3, the occupiers launched a drone attack on Ukraine, targeting Lutsk, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Znamenka, and Donetsk. As a result of the attack in Vyshhorod, debris caught fire between houses, and a vehicle and windows of buildings were damaged.
The Khmelnytskyi city administration has reported on the damages caused by the attack and has already involved the necessary services to eliminate the consequences.
