Furthermore, Ukraine's Ministry of Education and Science appointed a new acting president of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts (KNUKiM). In a move to bolster military personnel, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree allowing men aged 60 and older to sign contracts for military service during the ongoing martial law. This step is part of a broader mobilization strategy for a nation engaged in a protracted war of attrition.
The situation across Ukraine remains tense due to continuous military actions affecting civilians. Despite this, the state continues to advance policies in key socio-economic areas, as evidenced by legislative initiatives on renewable energy and new appointments in educational institutions. The president's decision regarding older recruits further underscores the severe and sustained demands on the country's defense capabilities.
