The European Union Ambassador to Ukraine, Katarina Maternova, acknowledged DTEK for its achievements in the development of distributed and decentralized energy. She noted this during her participation in the Kyiv International Economic Forum in the capital.

“I think that the more destruction occurs, the more consensus there is in this country, which did not exist two years ago, that it is indeed necessary to invest in distributed, decentralized electricity generation. I think we now have consensus on this,” Maternova stated.

The EU Ambassador emphasized DTEK's significant achievements in this direction, particularly in collaboration with the American company Fluence regarding the launch of energy storage installations with a capacity of 200 MW.

Katarina Maternova also highlighted the importance of further reforming the Ukrainian energy sector, its integration with the European energy system, and reducing monopolism by developing competition and moving towards market pricing.

During the Kyiv International Economic Forum, the European Union Ambassador to Ukraine expressed her recognition of DTEK for its successful achievements in implementing distributed and decentralized energy. This confirms the importance of further reforming the Ukrainian energy sector and collaborating with European partners to achieve this goal.
