The Ukrainian Football Association was fined by UEFA for an anti-Russian banner that was displayed during the match. The banner read 'Russia is a terrorist state' and resulted in a fine of 34,000 euros. Additionally, other incidents during the game, such as fights and the use of pyrotechnics, also incurred fines.
UEFA also transferred over 10.8 million euros to Russian football clubs through solidarity funds, but five Ukrainian clubs, due to being suspended from competitions because of aggression, did not receive their funds. The Ukrainian Football Association addressed UEFA with a letter expressing protest regarding the illegal integration of Ukrainian clubs into Russian domestic competitions in the occupied territories.
