A high-level meeting of the Ukrainian negotiation team regarding EU accession took place in Kyiv. During the meeting, the results of the screening across five negotiation clusters, preparations for negotiations, and priority steps in the accession process were discussed, in particular, the adaptation of Ukraine's legislation to European standards.

'The European Union for Ukraine is comprehensive support: financial assistance, help in implementing reforms, and ultimately, the accession process itself - it is a major project and strategic goal. A great deal of work is behind these words,' said Taras Kachka.

He emphasized the importance of opening as many negotiation clusters as possible this year, stressing that Ukraine is already ready to start negotiations on three of them and is working on others.

In addition, significant attention was paid to aligning the EU accession process with other key reforms within the country and projects that support Ukraine’s approach to the European Union. Taras Kachka underscored the importance of predictable and coordinated transformations, so every step is agreed upon with all stakeholders and society as a whole.

'Negotiations are not only a dialogue with European institutions, but also an internal dialogue with businesses, trade unions, and communities. It is important for everyone to understand what we are doing and why it is necessary,' he emphasized.

News about strategic sessions and discussions on the conditions of EU accession indicate the active continuation of Ukraine's integration process with the European Union and the importance of engaging all stakeholders in the dialogue for the successful realization of this strategic goal.
