Zelensky's meeting with Macron
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron. Both leaders discussed a common European position on key security issues on the continent and shared their contacts with other world leaders.
Zelensky emphasized the importance of cooperation between Europe and America, pointing out that the future depends on every step from both sides. The leaders agreed on further cooperation and discussion of the results of conversations with other world leaders.
'Ukraine is ready to genuinely cease fire in Donbas, but Russia still does not demonstrate a clear response to our peace initiatives', - stated Zelensky.
The leaders agreed to continue cooperation at the level of advisors and heads of state, particularly regarding the resolution of the conflict in eastern Ukraine. Zelensky warned Russia of possible consequences in case of further interference in Ukraine's internal affairs.
During the phone conversation with the French president, Volodymyr Zelensky discussed common security issues for Europe and emphasized Ukraine's readiness for a ceasefire in Donbas. The importance of peace initiatives and further cooperation were the main topics of conversation between the leaders.
