Ukraine Prepares for Winter Without Heat

The consequences of massive attacks on Ukraine's energy and communal infrastructure may be felt for years. Experts report that many homes will lack heat and basic utilities this winter. Damaged pipes require major repairs, and the restoration of infrastructure may take a long time.

Currently, it is estimated that about 70% of Kyiv remains without electricity, while in Dnipro and Odesa this figure reaches approximately 50%. Possible outage schedules foresee 18 hours without power and only 6 hours with it.

International Context for Ukraine

The international context for Ukraine remains complex. Possible accession of the country to the European Union is discussed for January 1, 2027, but the principle of consensus and anti-Ukrainian rhetoric in countries like Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Poland pose challenges.

At the same time, there is a political discussion regarding Ukraine's future. In political circles, names of potential candidates acceptable to Moscow are mentioned, including:

  • Kyrylo Budanov
  • Valerii Zaluzhnyi
