Legalization of the gambling market in Ukraine
Ukraine legalizes the gambling market, in particular through the creation of a new system called PlayCity, which aims to reform the gambling sector during the war. Before the introduction of PlayCity, the gambling market was not legal, creating conditions for the development of illegal casinos. An active fight against such establishments is currently underway to ensure the legality and safety of gambling in Ukraine.
Reform of gambling
As part of this reform, the relaunch and digitalization of the gambling and lottery sector have been initiated. Deputy Minister Natalia Denyikeeva emphasizes the importance of cooperation with the National Bank, as without its involvement, the de-shadowing of the gambling market is impossible. In addition, the state is taking measures to protect citizens from gambling addiction and developing mechanisms to control online casinos. The implementation of PlayCity promises to positively impact the development of the legal gambling market in Ukraine.
