Ukrainians are increasingly discussing the possibility of banning internal combustion engine cars. According to the 'Khvylia' portal, this topic has become especially relevant after the 'Electroprospects' event, where the future of electric transportation in Ukraine was discussed.

In this context, MP Yuriy Kamelychuk first expressed the opinion that stimulating the electric vehicle market in the future could be achieved through legislative prohibition of internal combustion engine cars.

During the discussions at the event, plans for the development of charging station networks for electric transport were presented, but government representatives avoided specific answers regarding tax benefits for electric vehicles after 2025. They even mentioned the possibility of terminating tax preferences for the import of electric vehicles.

Although this is only Yuriy Kamelychuk's personal opinion, similar proposals may become relevant in the future and gain support among citizens. High officials participated in this event, including the Deputy Minister of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine and other representatives.

The Ukrainian society considers the possibility of banning internal combustion engine cars in favor of a broader implementation of electric transportation. The MP expressed the idea of stimulating the market through a possible legislative ban on internal combustion engine transport, but for now, this is just his personal position. Electric transport can indeed become more relevant in the future, and discussions on this topic continue among Ukrainians and government structures.
